At last, after 10 years of waiting, there is news from the Nomads!

Their new studie album "Solna" is out April 18th 2012, and as a teaser, the 7" vinyl ”Miles Away” is released 28th March 2012. 

And if ”Miles Away” is setting the stardard for the album, it has been worth waiting for! ”Miles Away” is a classic Nomads track, it's kicking off straight away, and you can't hear that this is a band who has kept it going since the early 80's. Nick Vahlberg sounds like he's ready to rock what ever needs to be rocked, the vokals is clean and crisp and together with the kick ass guitar of Hans Östlund this ain't gonna  be the Summer of Love, it's gonna be a summer to dig up the Hatchet  and drink Top Alcohol!

It'll be some long weeks 'till it's April 18th!

The new Nomads album SOLNA is released on April 18 (just in time for Record Store Day) on Universal Music for the Nordic countries and on Devils Jukebox Records for the rest of Europe. The album is produced by Chips Kiesbye and will be available on LP, CD and digitally. An American vinyl edition on Green Mist Records will follow in early September.

So, what is it CATT have for us this time? Caroline and Morten didn't invent Rock 'n' Roll, but they certainly can play it with a freshness and vitality that hasn't been heard for a while; this is 1-2-3 Rock 'n' Roll, with a twist of 70's Glampunkrock!

Morten Henriksen manages to make cool garage punk sound like sweet pop music. This cool sound is complimented by a new and refined delivery that makes  Saturday Night, Rock & Roll  a genuine classic that could even make some alternative/rock charts!

The new and refined delivery is Caroline's vocals. Her voice is so much better, on this new album, than on their first record 'Bad All Over' (2010). All the hours spent in front of the mirror with her hairbrush in one hand and the other hand on her hip, have paid off! Proof of this can be heard on tracks like 'Wam Bam Baby', 
'Let's Get Dirty' and 'Clap your Hands,..'

Caroline knows her Joan Jett, Debbie Harry and Nikki Corvette (who wrote the liner notes), I think I hear a bit ABBA too! 
(but maybe that's just me!)

CATT won't get a Grammy for their emotionally deep lyrics, but who needs a Grammy when this is pure, god damn R'n'R with songs about bubblegum, bad boys and sex! If you ask me, these are still important issues that deserve singing about,
roll over Katy Perry and get serious!
